Bad Blogger

I'm pretty disgraceful because I haven't kept up with this blog. I guess I got bored and frankly there are so many horrible blogs I got turned off. There are a lot of great ones though--
Can someone explain to me why people blog about such personal issues? I guess I thought it was a place to be funny and creative and talk about current events etc. I really don't want to know your inner most thoughts--people use it as a type of diary and that's ok but I read some blogs and I am sure the person is about 12-16 and they aren't it. They are grown people writing about the most immature thing you can think of. I just don't care.
There are a lot of things I would love to blog about. There are people I would love to blog about using real names too!
I lot of these pathetic people take the fun out of blogging for people like me that just enjoy blogging about silly stories I read or my favorite coffee at the moment. Everyone has an opinion. People need to lighten up and just have some fun.

Inspirational

Once again its been a long time since I've blogged. My good friend from college has resurrected his blog--we originally all started at the same time. Many of us fell off the wagon and now Scotty's back and maybe I am to. As I was saying in the last post, I'm a quitter. I have quit most things that took any effort. Is stopping doing things the same as quitting? From the beginning I've quit. It started in grade school I guess. I quit brownies, I quit the piano, I quit soccer, then in high school I quit numerous clubs and sports, in college I quit a few clubs, I've quit the gym a hundred times, I quit my catholic church youth people night which ended every thursday with happy hour, I quit swing dancing but that fizzled out anyway, I quit smoking. So I guess smoking was the one thing I don't regret quitting.

I promise not to quit the blog. I will do my best to blog from time to time. God knows I have a ton of things to say and my opinions run the gambit and I love to share them.

Thanks Scotty!

Where have I been?

Wow, I haven't blogged in a year--more than a year actually. well, I am not that surprised because when I was a kid I would get a diary every christmas. I would be super diligent for a few weeks and then nothing again for a long time or ever again. I never really liked a journal. I like the idea of it but it just doesn't work for me and I really don't need my thoughts floating around out there. This blog is like a journal but its just superficial stuff and it isn't personal. Whenever I did go back and read my journals it was pathetic. It brought back some memories of where I was and what was going on when I wrote in it but talk about depressing. It seemed like I was always fighting with my parents. Reading it made me sad and I thought 'was I really that miserable?' so I tossed them in the trash. It was fun remembering parties and who said what to whom.....but that was about it. I'm not sure why I haven't blogged because there have been tons of great things to blog about. I lost my chance though to talk about things that pissed me off this year. I promise to be better from now on with this blog. Not that anyone cares or even reads it but I think it has moments that are pretty funny and I enjoy reading it.

Ohhhhhhhh that smell..............

You know I love perfume as much as the next gal. In fact, I have about 100 bottles. My sister and I made a promise not to buy any more perfume, for ourselves or each other until we manage to use what we have....make a dent in the collection. Then a company called Demeter came out with those bizarre perfume scents like dirt, rubber and funeral.....I liked the tomato myself but ended up with Gin and Tonic and a Cosmo one.........I didn't really want to smell like a funeral....well, I must admit that I love some smells. I love the smell of a skunk (something fresh about it reminds me of where I grew up) gasoline, crayons and I love the smell of peat and certain wood burning.......but one smell I have loved as long as I can remember is this one..............My mother would never buy it for us. I think my grandmother bought me a can once and I was banished to the cement basement to play with it and I used to play with it at friend's houses.........it was greasy and you can't get it out of carpet......I'm in heaven with this product.

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (AP) - May 15, 2006 - It's one of the most unique smells around. And now you can wear it.
Hasbro is continuing its celebration of Play-Doh's 50th anniversary by releasing "Eau de Play-Doh," a perfume designed to smell just like the kids' modeling clay.
Spokesman Gary Serby says Play-Doh's smell is one of its most enduring memories, and Hasbro figures smelling the perfume will transport people back to their childhood.
It sells for 19 dollars a bottle.

"The Gator ate her"

I was just telling a group of co-workers over lunch yesterday that crimes or some disasters seem to follow trends………I said that there haven’t been any children kidnapped lately, not like last year……….I felt like so many kids were being grabbed from either right outside their house or inside their own house! You practically heard about one a month that summer.

We certainly haven’t had a good serial killer in a long time. That was also popular some years back.

Well one thing I have noticed……climbing the popularity ladder….the summer before last remember all the people getting attacked by sharks? It was almost daily. Well, now it seems to be alligators. I don’t know what is up with the gators but they are out for blood.

How about the poor stiff hired by the golf course to retrieve balls from a pond?
He got bit too this month might have lost a limb.

The worst story is the one below, about the girl that went missing while jogging near a canal….note to self (do not run, walk, bike or even drive near any water in Florida)

Luckily one woman fought back! She’s not taking any poop from a bullying gator.

Scientist will say, "sharks don't like the taste of humans, it is usually a case of mistaken identity. They don't attack unless provoked" Same is true for gators I guess.........Gators seem to be big prehistoric troublemakers.

Is the term "buffet" to help oneself....over and over again!

Call me crazy but most people like a buffet so they can try many things and waste many things. This is precisely what Americans do. We waste. Get used to it or get out!!
